WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY 2025

🌍 World Tuberculosis Day 2025: Yes! Together, We Can End TB

Today, the African Federation of Medical Laboratory Science Students’ Association (AFMLSSA) joins the global community in raising awareness about tuberculosis (TB)—a preventable and curable disease that still affects millions worldwide.

TB remains one of the deadliest infectious diseases, yet with early diagnosis, proper treatment, and stronger healthcare systems, we can eliminate it. Medical laboratory scientists play a crucial role in TB detection, monitoring, and research—ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective patient care.

🔬 Why does this matter?
✅ Every day, over 4,000 lives are lost to TB.
✅ Drug-resistant TB is a growing global threat.
✅ Timely diagnosis and treatment can save millions.

This year, we reaffirm our commitment to advocacy, early detection, and research in the fight against TB. Together, we must strengthen public health efforts and invest in innovative diagnosis.
